How to Fix Facebook Marketplace Messages Not Showing on Messenger

Last Updated on November 16, 2022 By Arsalan Rauf

Are your Facebook Marketplace messages not showing on Messenger and do you want to fix it?

If you are facing it, you won’t be able to chat with the buyer or seller.

Facebook Marketplace helps you to buy, discover and sell items.

You can find the items or products in your area by searching them which are ready for shipping.

Businesses can show their inventory for vehicles, retail items, home rentals and so on.

If you don’t want to avoid posting directly on the marketplace, you can also do the advertisement of your products.

In this post, I will tell you how to fix Facebook Marketplace messages not showing up on Messenger.

Why can’t I see messages from Marketplace on Messenger?

You can’t see messages from Marketplace on Messenger due to the shifting of Marketplace chat.

In some cases, you might have accidentally archived your chat after marking your item as sold.

On the other hand, FB messenger can be down and it is wise to wait for it to be back up.

Messenger gets multiple updates throughout the year.

With new updates, the location of the Marketplace chat has been changed.

It is accessible via your “Chats” under “Marketplace”.

For some users, they can reach the Marketplace chat by tapping on their profile picture > Marketplace.

How to fix Facebook Marketplace messages not showing on Messenger

To fix Facebook Marketplace messages not showing on Messenger, enable other users on FB to send you message, check your archived chats or try reinstalling messenger after uninstalling it.

If everything fails, it is the best choice to use the Facebook app to check your Marketplace messages instead of using Messenger.

If you have updated your Messenger recently, it might have moved its location.

It’s either can be found in your chats or in the menu under “Marketplace”.

In some cases, Messenger might not be up, so you have to inspect its status on downdetector.com/status/facebook-messenger/.

If you come across a spike in the graph, it shows that Messenger is most likely down and the best bet is to wait for a few hours for it to be back up.

Solution 1: Allow other Users on Facebook to message you

  • Go to Facebook Messenger.
  • Tap on your profile picture.
  • Select Privacy & safety > Message delivery > Others on Facebook.
  • Select “Message requests”.
  • Force exit Messenger and reopen it.

Note: This process will only allow people to message you on FB.

Solution 2: Check your archived chats

  • Go to Facebook Messenger.
  • Tap on your profile picture.
  • Select “Archived chats”.
  • Find your Facebook Marketplace chat.

Note: You might have mistakenly archived a Marketplace chat after marking an item as sold, so you need to go through your archived chats.

Solution 3: Uninstall and reinstall Messenger

  • Tap and hold the Messenger app and remove it.
  • Go to the App Store or Google Play Store.
  • Search for Messenger and reinstall it.
  • Open Messenger and sign in to your FB account.
  • Check if your Marketplace messages are available (it must be fixed now).

Note: You will be signed out of all accounts by reinstalling Messenger (so you’ll have to sign in again), but all of your chats will be available and saved as they are being stored in the database of Facebook.

Solution 4: Use the Facebook app instead

  • Go to the Facebook app.
  • Select Marketplace > Profile icon > Inbox.
  • Select “Selling” or “Buying” (it depends on the chat that you want to access).
  • Go to the chat that you want to see.

Note: If you are unable to access your Marketplace messages on Messenger, you can access them on the app of FB.

How to Fix “We suspended your account” on Instagram

Last Updated on December 16, 2022 By Arsalan Rauf

Are you facing a “We suspended your account” error on Instagram?

The end part of the error is, “There are 30 days remaining to disagree with the decision”.

If Instagram cannot confirm your account, it will remove it permanently.

In the meantime, people will not be able to see your account and you cannot use it.

In this post, I will guide you on how to fix “We suspended your account” on Instagram and how to disagree with the decision.

Why did my Instagram account get suspended?

Your Instagram account got suspended due to the violation of one or more of the community guidelines.

In some cases, the server of IG might suspend your account due to a mistake or Instagram might be down.

In October, thousands of Instagram users got suspended due to problems with the servers.

Instagram was facing a global outage and users were suspended without any reason.

Here are some complaints:

“So did @instagram delete anyone else’s profile this morning ? What is happening?”.

“Did anyone else’s Instagram just get suspended for no reason? And now Instagram won’t even bother to let you appeal. It just gives you an error?”.

“Immediately rushing to Twitter to see if anyone else got suspended on Instagram #instagramdown”.

How to fix “We suspended your account” on Instagram

To fix “We suspended your account” on Instagram, you have to disagree with the decision or submit the form “My Instagram account was deactivated”.

After submitting the appeal form, the next thing is to wait for a few days to get Instagram’s response.

They might need your picture and demand a selfie of yourself holding a code to verify your identity.

In rare cases, your IG account might get suspended by mistake or Instagram is having problems with its servers.

If Instagram is down, your best bet is to wait for 24 to 48 hours and the system will unsuspend your account.

Solution 1: Disagree with the decision

  1. When you are on “We suspended your account” page, tap on “Disagree with the decision”.
  2. Select “I’m not a robot”, solve the CAPTCHA, and tap on “Next”.
  3. Provide your phone number/email address and tap on “Send Confirmation”.
  4. Put the code that you’ve got via SMS or email.
  5. Congrats, your Instagram account has been successfully unsuspended!

Solution 2: Submit the “My Instagram account was deactivated” form

  1. Visit this URL https://www.facebook.com/help/instagram/contact/606967319425038.
  2. Provide your full name, email, IG username, and phone number.
  3. Tell them that your account got suspended by mistake and submit the form.
  4. Wait to get Instagram’s response from email.
  5. Take a selfie of yourself holding a code and send them.
  6. Wait for Instagram’s response via email again.
  7. If the process will be completed successfully, you’ll get an email from them that your account has been unsuspended.

Solution 3: If Instagram is down, wait for 24-48 hours

  • If your account was suspended due to no reason, you need to ensure that Instagram is down.
  • To inspect if Instagram is down, you can copy this link and paste it into your browser https://downdetector.com/status/instagram/ or search for the term “Instagram down” on Twitter.
  • In October, tens of thousands of Instagram users got their accounts suspended without any reason.
  • If you come across a spike in the number of reports on downdetector.com, it indicates that the application is down and you have to keep waiting until Instagram resolve it from their side.
  • The process can take 24-48 hours to complete and in-app issues to be solved.

How to Fix Instagram Keeps Crashing

Last Updated on November 7, 2022 By Arsalan Rauf

Is your Instagram crashing after every 30 seconds or 1 minute and you are curious to know why is it happening?

Does Instagram keep crashing whenever you try to post anything or view a story on the platform?

Both android and iOS users are getting this issue periodically.

You cannot use the app as it crashes in less than a minute when you open the app.

Some users also stated that their phones are heating up when they use the app.

In this post, I will tell you why Instagram keeps crashing (after 30 seconds) on iPhone and Android devices and how to fix it.

Why does Instagram keep crashing?

Instagram keeps crashing due to the new update launched by Instagram.

Otherwise, Instagram is down and it will be functional again, so you have to wait for it.

Instagram gets down frequently, so it’s not new to you that it’s down right now.

To find out, go to downdetector.com and search for the term “Instagram”.

If you come across a spike in reports, it clearly shows that the app is probably down.

Visit Twitter which can be used to find out and search for “Instagram crashing” or “Instagram down” in the search engine.

See the top and latest tweets to observe if there are people complaining it.

“Does anyone else have an issue where @instagram is constantly crashing? It’s been happening for two days now. No update available”.

“Anyone else’s Instagram just randomly crashes after 30 seconds of using the app?” (2.9k likes, 155 comments).

“Is there any issue with @instagram on iOS? It automatically shuts down after a few seconds. #instagramdown”.

How to fix Instagram crashing

To fix Instagram crashing, you need to update the app as soon as an update is released.

You can also uninstall and reinstall the app to update it to the latest version and its cache will also be cleared.

If you’re experiencing crashes on an Android device, you can download an older version of Instagram from Uptodown.

If all else fails, you need to wait for 24 to 48 hours or more and the issue will fix itself.

Solution 1: Update the app

  • Visit the App Store or Google Play Store and search for the app using “Instagram” term.
  • If IG has an update, tap on the “Update” button to update the app to the its latest.
  • Most updates are launched to fix the bug and performance improvements, which will fix in-app issues.
  • If they have not launched an update, wait for one.
  • You can also uninstall and reinstall Instagram, it will also update it to the latest version and remove the cache.

Solution 2: Download an older version of Instagram

  • If you’re an Android user, you can download an older version of Instagram that is free from crashing problem.
  • To access the older version of Instagram, copy this URL and paste it to your browser https://instagram.en.uptodown.com/android/versions.
  • After opening it, select an older version of the app to download it on your android.
  • Just keep in mind that this fix does not work for iOS devices.

Solution 3: Wait for 24-48 hours

  • You should make sure if Instagram is down using platforms like downdetector.com or Twitter.
  • Most problems on the Instagram app will resolve on its own within 24 to 48 hours.
  • If Instagram is crashing regularly, it might be happening because of a bug or server problem due to the new update.
  • Once the servers are up, an update will be sent, and the crash problem will be resolved after updating the app to the latest.
  • If there is no update launched by IG and the app stops crashing, it means it was from servers.

How to Fix Instagram Bonuses Not Showing

Last Updated on November 2, 2022 By Arsalan Rauf

Are Instagram Bonuses not showing in your settings and do you want to fix it?

You can earn money on Instagram with the help of Instagram Bonuses especially the Reels play bonus program.

If you are qualified for a bonus, you will get a notification on the app.

To join the program, you have to complete certain requirements and agree to the program rules.

Unluckily, Instagram has not shared the requirements for the program, so users are not able to know if they are eligible for it.

In this guide, I will tell you why are Instagram bonuses not working or showing (Reels Play bonus) and how to fix it.

Why are Instagram bonuses not working?

Instagram bonuses are not working because the bonuses are not present in your country or you did not move to a professional account.

Instagram is currently testing the Reels Play bonus program in the US and India.

If you’re not living in the US and India, you will not be able to join it.

However, if you’re a resident of India or US but you still are not able to access IG bonuses, it shows that the criteria to meet certain requirements is not yet completed.

Unfortunately, Instagram has not stated it clearly about the program’s requirements.

However, they did mention that it is regarded as an invite-only program and only users who have less than 1 million followers eligible for the program.

If access to the Reels Play bonus program is not yet available to you even though many users viewed your Reels, it indicates that you’re not invited to it yet.

How to fix Instagram bonuses not showing

To fix Instagram bonuses not showing, your task is to switch to a business or creator account.

Otherwise, the other task you can do is to keep posting Reels until you get invited to the Reels Play bonus program or wait until it’s rolled out to your country.

Solution 1: Switch to a business or creator account

  1. Go to Instagram and visit your profile.
  2. Now, tap on the menu icon.
  3. Select Settings > Account.
  4. Choose “Switch to professional account”.
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen to change to a business/creator account.

Solution 2: Post more Reels until you get invited

  • The Reels Play bonus program is an invite-only program that is currently tested by IG in the USA and India.
  • Instagram does not explicitly show the requirements for the program except for getting less than 1 million followers.
  • You have to keep posting Reels every day until you get invited.
  • If you get invited, the app will notify you to onboard and enable bonus payouts.
  • You need to finish the onboarding process before it expires.

Solution 3: Wait until the Reels Play bonus is launched in your country

  • The Reels Play bonus program is currently launched in the US and India for testing purposes.
  • If you’re not inside the US and India, you have to wait until the program is rolled out in your country.
  • If you have questions or issues related to Instagram bonuses, you can request support from IG app: (profile > menu > settings > help)

How to Fix Reels Video Save Option Not Showing on Instagram

Last Updated on November 2, 2022 By Arsalan Rauf

Is the Reels video save option not showing on Instagram and are you looking for a solution to fix it?

You will see the option when you try to add the Reel to your story.

A “three dots” icon will be there, and when you choose it, it must show a “Save” option.

However, a lot of users reported that the “three dots” icon is not showing or missing.

The icon available is now changed by a “draw” option.

In this post, I will tell you why is the Instagram Reels video save option not showing, not working, or missing, and how to fix it.

Why can’t I save Instagram Reels?

You can’t save Instagram Reels due to a bug on the app.

Some accounts are displaying the “Save” option while other accounts are not.

After testing it personally, I have seen that it’s only working on one of my accounts.

The rest of the accounts on IG are unable to use the feature.

A lot of IG users are reporting about the missing Reels save option.

Here are some examples:

“Instagram has the audacity to try to be like TikTok but it’s too busy isolating half their user base and they can’t even include an option to save Reels”.

“You have some bugs with Reels. There is no option to save them anymore. Also, my account has been de-monetized for a while now & I’ve done everything you’ve asked but I can’t get it reviewed. I realize that this is a shot in the dark but is anybody out there? Can you help?”.

“Instagram is a funny app because all the content is Twitter content, but they purposely don’t let you save Reels so you can’t repost them anywhere else”.

How to fix Reels video save option not showing on Instagram

To fix Reels video save option not showing on Instagram, you need to use an older version of IG or use an Instagram Reels downloader.

Apart from that, you can also create new account, or switch accounts or update the app to its newest version.

To record the video, you can use the screen of your phone and crop it after that.

Solution 1: Use an Instagram Reels downloader

  1. Go to Instagram and copy the URL of the Reel (Watch the Reel > three dots > Link).
  2. Go to an Instagram Reels downloader such as https://sssinstagram.com/reels-downloader.
  3. You need to paste the Reel’s URL into the text box and select “Download”.
  4. Select “Download .mp4”.
  5. Select “Download” and view your downloads.
  6. After completing the downloading, tap on the Reel.
  7. Select the “Save” icon accompanied by “Save Video”.

It is an ideal way to save Instagram Reels without the save option.

Solution 2: Download an older version of Instagram

  1. You can copy this link and paste it into your browser: https://instagram.en.uptodown.com/android/versions.
  2. After opening it, download an older version of Instagram.
  3. After installation, open the older version of IG and check if the save option is there (if not, go to that page again and download an even older version of the app).

Note: This fix is only for Android users. If you’re an iOS user, you cannot use it.

Solution 3: Switch accounts

  • If you are using more than one Instagram account, you can try using other accounts by switching them and see if you have the option to save Reels.
  • Your other IG accounts might contain the option to save Reels.
  • Lastly, a new Instagram account can also be created if you only have one account.

If all of the above fixes fail, you need to wait for Instagram to fix the save option glitch for Reels.

Having said that, the aim of Instagram is to mitigate cross-posting of Reels, so they might have blocked the save option for some users intentionally.

It is another reason some accounts still contain the option to save Reels while others don’t.

There is no doubt in saying that platforms like TikTok is beating Instagram in every angle which allows Meta to take this action.

Are you getting a “Login-failed” error whenever you try to sign in to your Facebook account?

The last part of the error is, “100 Unsupported Request – method type: post”.

Are you not able to log in to the Facebook app?

The whole social media is flooded with this issue and published on platforms like Twitter.

In this post, I will tell you why Facebook says “100 Unsupported Request – method type: post” and how to fix it on Android and iOS devices.

Why does Facebook say “Unsupported request”?

Facebook says “Unsupported request” due to a bug/glitch on the app.

On the other hand, FB might be having an outage problem.

It can only be checked if Facebook is down by going to DownDetector or searching for the issue that you are getting on Twitter.

If you come across a spike in the DownDetector graph, it might be up because Facebook is down.

On September 29th, 2022, a lot of users reported the Facebook log-in problem.

A tweet by username @Pumpum_1022, “I’m not so sure if it’s hacked or anything but I logged out my account from all devices. I also changed my password, and when I tried logging in again, it keeps saying unsupported request – method type:post”.

“@facebook Hello, when I log into my account, it says unsupported request method type post. Pease solve my issue”.

Apparently, the log-in issue is a global issue that is going on in the Facebook mobile app and Messenger.

How to fix “100 Unsupported Request Method Type Post” on Facebook

To fix “100 Unsupported Request Method Type Post” on Facebook, you need to remove the app’s cache or install an older version of the app from any website like Uptodown.

You can also try using another network, wait for 24-48 hours span, update the application.

Here are 6 ways that you can use to fix the log-in failed issue:

  • Remove Facebook’s cache: Open the Settings app > Apps > Facebook > Storage > Clear Cache > Clear Data > re-launch Facebook.
  • Use an older version of Facebook (only for Android phones): https://facebook.en.uptodown.com/android/versions.
  • Change your internet from Wi-Fi to mobile data (and vice-versa).
  • Update the FB app to the latest version.
  • Uninstall and reinstall the FB app.
  • Wait for 24 to 48 hours span.

The first way to use is to clear the cache of Facebook.

If you’re an Android user, it can be done by opening the Settings app, finding Facebook, and tapping on “Clear Cache” next to “Clear Data”.

A common problem on the app can be resolved by clearing Facebook’s cache like loading and logging out.

Alternatively, you will log out of FB by clearing the app’s data.

You can also visit Uptodown and downgrade your version of Facebook and try installing an older version of it.

In some cases, the bugs and glitches are the results of the latest Facebook updates.

You can restrict those glitches and bugs by downloading an older version of Facebook and it is a temporary fix until a new update is released to fix them.

If Facebook servers are down, your best bet is to wait for 24 to 48 hours for them to be back up.

If Facebook has released a new update that offers bug fixes, you should update the app as early as possible.

What Does “Instagram User” Mean?

Last Updated on April 22, 2023 By Arsalan Rauf

Are you seeing the name, “Instagram User” on Instagram and you want to know what does it mean when it says Instagram user?

You can see this in a couple of places.

The first place can be in your Instagram DMs (direct messages).

If you open a chat with someone, there is a chance that you might not be able to see their username on Instagram.

As a result, it will show the “Instagram User” instead of their real username or name.

In addition, you can also see the name, “Instagram User” when you visit someone’s profile on Instagram.

In this post, I will tell you what “Instagram User” means and whether you are blocked by the person.

What Does Instagram User Mean?

Instagram User means that the person either deleted their Instagram account or they blocked you on Instagram.

If the user has blocked you, you will not be able to see their Instagram name or username on the app.

As a result, their username will be “Instagram User”.

Additionally, the person’s posts will not be visible to you as well.

Instagram has done it to prevent the blocked person from knowing who blocked them.

However, if the message is sent by the person recently, you’ll be able to tell who blocked you by looking at your messages.

If you know who sent you the messages, you can identify the user even if they have blocked you.

Alternatively, if the person deleted their Instagram account, you will not be able to see their username too.

Does Instagram User mean blocked?

Yes, Instagram User can mean that the user has blocked you on the app.

It can also indicate that the user has deleted their Instagram account.

Having said that, the most common reason for coming across “Instagram User” is because the person has blocked you.

You cannot send message to the user or find their profile, posts or stories if they have blocked you on Instagram.

As a result, Instagram will hide your profile information including your profile picture, name, and username.

Therefore, if you are unable to see the profile picture of the person, name, or username, it means that you are blocked by the user.

What is Instagram User in DM?

Instagram User in your DM (direct messages) means that you are blocked by the person.

If the user blocked you, you cannot see your direct messages or their profile picture in the chat.

Having said that, the messages that the user sent you will still be available unless the user enabled vanish mode.

Additionally, you are unable to see their Instagram name or username.

You’ll see “Instagram User” instead of their username or name on the app.

Instagram has done it to stop you from knowing who blocked you.

However, if you recognize the messages that the user sent you, it will be easy for you to identify them.

How do you find out who “Instagram User” is?

To find out who “Instagram User” is, the best bet is to check your direct messages.

On the other hand, a third-party app can also be used to see who blocked you.

First of all, open the chat where you see the name, “Instagram User”.

If the person sent you a message recently, you can identify them with ease.

The reason behind it is that the messages are easy to remember.

Therefore, you need to check the messages and try to remember who sent them to you.

Unfortunately, if the person sent you a message a long time ago, you might not be able to remember them.

The older messages will be hard to remember who sent you these messages.

To check who blocked you on Instagram, a third-party app can be used.

There are many apps that support this feature on Google Play Store and the App Store.

However, it is a premium feature to see who blocked you on Instagram, so you might have to pay for this option.

Final Words

You might see the name, “Instagram User” instead of the real username or name of the person’s Instagram.

This may confuse some of the users as it looks like Instagram is down.

But in this case, Instagram is not down and the person may have blocked you.

This block will prevent you from seeing the person’s information on Instagram.

However, if the user did not enable vanish mode, your messages with them will not be deleted.

Instagram has not implemented that feature that removes the complete chat with someone if you block them.

Therefore, if you remember the user, you still can identify who blocked you.
