3 Ways to Fix WhatsApp Verification Code Not Sending

Last Updated on March 29, 2023 By Arsalan Rauf

Is the WhatsApp verification code or security code not sending and do you want to fix it?

Have you requested an SMS code from WhatsApp but you’re not getting it?

If you are not receiving the code, you won’t be able to use WhatsApp.

You can get this error when you’ve enabled the 2-Step Verification feature.

You can also get this error if you’ve entered the correct region code and phone number.

In this article, I will tell you 3 ways to fix a WhatsApp security or verification code not sending or not received.

Why is WhatsApp not sending me a security code?

WhatsApp is not sending you a security code because their contact is blocked by you.

It can also be a result of entering wrong number and region code.

For instance, if you’re a resident of Singapore, your region code is +65.

If you’ve entered another region code, you won’t be able to receive the security code from them.

Another thing you need to remember is to make sure that your internet connection is working.

How to fix WhatsApp verification code not sending

To fix WhatsApp verification code not sending, the first thing is to unblock your blocked contacts and try to resend it.

If you’ve enabled 2-Step Verification on WhatsApp and you are not getting the code, you have to disable it by going to WhatsApp from your old phone.

If all these fixes fail, the last resort is to contact WhatsApp support on the app or from the website to get help.

Method 1. Unblock your contacts

Here is a step by step guide on how to unblock your contacts on iOS:

  1. Go to the Settings app.
  2. Scroll down and select “Phone”.
  3. Choose “Blocked Contacts”.
  4. Tap on “Edit” and tap on the “-” icon on all numbers.
  5. After that, resend the WhatsApp verification/security code again.

Here is a step by step guide on how to unblock your contacts on Android:

  1. Go to the Phone app.
  2. Tap on the three dots icon.
  3. Choose “Settings” accompanied by “Blocked numbers”.
  4. Select the “X” icon accompanied by “Unblock” on all numbers.
  5. After that, resend the WhatsApp verification/security code again.

Method 2. Turn off 2FA from a device that’s signed in to WhatsApp

Note: This solution is only working for those who have 2FA enabled for WhatsApp. If your 2FA is disabled, you can skip this method.

  1. Access WhatsApp app on a device that’s currently logged in (for instance, if your old phone is still connected to WhatsApp, you can still access it there).
  2. Visit the Settings > Account > Two-Step Verification > Turn Off.
  3. Force close WhatsApp and open it again.

Note: If your old phone is already signed into WhatsApp, then you can switch off 2FA and it will bypass the verification/security code process.

Method 3. Contact WhatsApp support

Use WhatsApp app to contact:

  1. Go to the WhatsApp mobile app.
  2. Settings > Help > Contact Us.
  3. Tell them that you’re not getting the verification/security code.
  4. Select “Next” or “Send via Email” and follow the instructions on the screen.

Use WhatsApp web to contact:

  1. Visit this link https://www.whatsapp.com/contact/?subject=messenger.
  2. Provide your phone number and email address.
  3. Choose the device that you’re using WhatsApp for instance, Android.
  4. Tell them that you’re not receiving the verification/security code.
  5. Select “Next Step” and keep following the instructions on the screen.

You can take this as an example or inspiration, “Hi WhatsApp, I’ve entered my phone number and region code correctly but I’m not receiving a verification code. Kindly help me to access my account”.

The WhatsApp team will take 1-3 business days to reply to you.

They will contact you via chat or email.

WhatsApp may take longer to respond to you due to an increased number of reports.

If yes, you won’t be able to access your Instagram account.

To verify your identity on Instagram, you need a security code.

For instance, if you try to login from a new device and Instagram detects it, you need to enter a security code.

Instagram will send a security code to your phone.

In this article, how to fix the issue if you’re not receiving the security code or SMS from Instagram or it’s not working/sending.

How to fix Instagram security code not sending

To fix the Instagram security code not sending, the first thing is to unblock your contacts.

The reason behind it is that you may have blocked Instagram from sending you messages in the past.

Consequently, you have restricted the security code from Instagram.

After unblocking your contacts, visit Instagram and resend the security code.

Now, you will be able to get the security code.

Here’s a step by step guide on how to unblock your contacts on iPhone and Android to receive the Instagram security code:

#1 Method: Unblock your contacts (iPhone)

If you’re an iPhone user, you need to visit your phone settings to unblock your contacts.

After opening your phone settings, tap on “Blocked Contacts” to unblock all of the contacts you have blocked.

After that, visit Instagram and resend the security code.

This time, you should receive the security code on your phone.

Here’s a step by step guide on how to unblock your contacts if you’re using an iPhone/iOS device:

Step 1. Go to your settings

The first thing you need to do is to go to your settings.

To begin with, swipe down from the top of your screen.

After that, to locate the settings app, search for “Settings”.

Lastly, tap on “Settings” to open the app.

Step 2. Visit your phone settings

After opening the Settings app, it will show you multiple options.

To access your blocked contacts, you need to tap on “Blocked Contacts”.

Step 4. Unblock all of your blocked contacts

After tapping on “Blocked Contacts”, it will show you a list of contacts that you’ve blocked.

You have to unblock the number of Instagram in order to allow Instagram to send you a security code.

However, the ideal task will be to unblock all your blocked contacts as Instagram contains different numbers.

After that, tap on the “-” icon beside each contact until you unblock all of these contacts.

After that, to save your settings, tap on “Done”.

  3. Provide your Instagram username or email and tap on “Need more help?”.
  4. After that, tap on “I can’t access this email or phone number”.
  5. Fill out the “Request Support” form by completing it.
  6. To submit the form, tap on the “Request Support” button.

Last Updated on March 17, 2023 By Arsalan Rauf

You are allowed to like posts, photos and videos on Instagram.

There are two methods to like posts—tapping on the like button or double-tapping on the post.

The heart becomes red when you tap on the like button.

To like it, you can also use the double-tap and it will play the heart animation.

However, the double-tap feature does not work all the time.

In this article, I will tell you how to fix the Instagram double tap not working on Android or iOS devices.

Why can’t I double tap to like on Instagram?

You can’t double tap to like on Instagram due to a bug/glitch on the app.

To improve the user experience, you will get new updates from Instagram on a regular basis.

The updates are meant to add new features and improvements to the app.

A bug/glitch can occur and prevent you from double tapping on the posts.

You can get this error whether you are an Android or iOS user.

How to fix Instagram double tap not working

To fix Instagram double tap not working, the instant fix is to download an older version of the app (Android).

You can also wait for the new Instagram update or remove the app’s cache.

If the new version is not released yet, you can wait.

Solution 1: Download an older version of Instagram (for Android devices)

Solution 3: Update Instagram to the latest version

  1. Go to the App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Search for “Instagram” app.
  3. Tap on the “Update” button if it is available to update Instagram.

Note: If the update is not available on the app store, the only way is to wait so the team sends it to fix the bug (you may have to wait for a few days).
