How to Fix “You may not be old enough to use Instagram”

Last Updated on August 31, 2023 By Arsalan Rauf

Are you getting a “You may not be old enough to use Instagram” error and do you want to fix it?

The second part of the error message will be “We’ll disable your account within 30 days if you’re not able to confirm you’re at least 13”.

The last part of the error message is: “After this period, your account will not be recoverable”.

The error message is related to age, either you’ve set your age to below 13 or someone reported you as being under 13.

In some cases, you might face the error even though you’re of age.

In this post, I will tell you how to fix “You may not be old enough to use Instagram” and how long an Instagram appeal takes.

How to Fix “You may not be old enough to use Instagram”

To fix “You may not be old enough to use Instagram”, your task is to complete and submit the “Help Us Verify Your Age” form.

After submitting the form, wait for a few days for Instagram team to review it.

If successful, Instagram will send you an email that your account has been reactivated.

The “Help Us Verify Your Age” form will ask you to attach a photo of your ID.

The ID that you are going to submit needs to be government-issued.

Additionally, your face and date of birth should be visible clearly on the ID.

Just remember that your ID won’t be shown on your profile and the ID will be deleted after 30 days automatically.

ID will be used for the sake of verification purpose only.

Instagram might take time to review your appeal as they are getting a great number of appeals.

Therefore, you need to be patient to wait for several days before you get a response.

Here’s a step by step guide on how to fix “Help Us Verify Your Age” on Instagram:

Step 1. Go to the “Help Us Verify Your Age” form

To get started, you need to visit the “Help Us Verify Your Age” form.

To do so, open a web browser such as Chrome and go to Google’s search engine.

After reaching Google, search for the term “Help Us Verify Your Age”.

Open the search result that shows, “Help Us Verify Your Age” by Instagram.

On the other hand, you can go to the form directly on this URL: https://help.instagram.com/contact/730583250290732.

Here’s an alternate form if the previous one is not working for you: https://help.instagram.com/contact/293397334168432.

Step 2. Provide your information

The “Help Us Verify Your Age” form enables you to verify your age.

Your account is disabled on Instagram because they claim that you’re under 13 years old.

You need to give them your ID to prove that you’re over 13 years old.

First of all, enter your “Full name” into the “Full name” field.

Now, provide your email address in the “Email address” field.

The main point to consider while entering the email address that submit the email that is connected to your Instagram account.

Then, in the “Instagram username” field, enter your Instagram username.

For instance, if your Instagram username is “abcd”, enter “abcd” (without using quotation marks).

Now, you need to give your date of birth.

Just remember that you need to be 13 years old and above in order to use Instagram.

Step 3. Attach your ID

After providing your information, scroll down the form.

Now, the next thing is to provide a photo of a valid ID.

You need to ensure that your ID should have your face and date of birth before you take a photo of it so that Instagram can verify your age.

When you send a copy of your ID to Instagram, it will be encrypted and stored securely.

Additionally, it will not be shown on your profile and your ID will be kept private and will not be visible to friends, or to other people on Instagram.

After 30 days, your ID gets deleted automatically.

Now, capture a photo of your ID, tap on “Choose File”, and choose the photo that you’ve taken of your ID.

A piece of additional information can also be given in the “Any additional info” field.

In the end, tap on “Send” to send the form.

After sending the form, you need to wait for a few days to get response from Instagram.

If successful, you will receive an email from Instagram saying that your account has been reactivated.

How long does an Instagram age appeal take?

An Instagram age appeal typically takes 3-5 days to get a response.

It can take a while to review your appeal due to the overwhelming number of appeals on IG.

Therefore, you have to be patient and wait for several days before you get a response.

The email provided by you will receive a response via the email address.

If successful, Instagram will reactivate your account and send you an email saying that your account has been reactivated.

Otherwise, you might not receive a response and as a result, your account will be disabled after 30 days.

Final Words

Just remember that if you’re under 13 years old, you cannot use Instagram.

If you don’t have a valid ID card that proves your age over 13 years old, you cannot recover your account.

In this case, the best bet is to create a new Instagram account.

While you’re creating a new Instagram account, keep in mind that you need to set your date of birth to prove that you’re over 13 years old.

That way, you will not get “You may not be old enough to use Instagram” issue on Instagram and your account will not be disabled due to age.

Last Updated on May 31, 2022 By Arsalan Rauf

Are you getting a “You’ve Been Logged Out” error on Instagram and do you want to fix it?

The second part of the error message will show: “Please log back in”.

It contains another variation of the message that is, “The account owner may have changed the password”.

If you are facing it, you cannot log in to your Instagram account.

A lot of Instagram users have reported this error.

In some cases, you cannot log in to the app but you’ll be able to log in to Instagram on your PC.

In this post, I will tell you why Instagram says that you’ve been logged out and how to fix “You’ve Been Logged Out”.

Why does my Instagram say you’ve been logged out?

Instagram says that you’ve been logged out due to a bug/glitch.

The error can also occur if Instagram is down.

In May 2022, Instagram was down and many users on IG were logged out of their accounts.

It will log you out automatically if you try to log in to your account during that period.

Consequently, you will not be able to use the Instagram application.

However, many users also told that they manage to log in to Instagram on their computer.

It indicates that the website of Instagram is not affected.

How to fix “You’ve Been Logged Out” on Instagram

To fix “You’ve Been Logged Out” on Instagram, the first step is to check if Instagram is down.

In the meantime, you can use Instagram on the web version of Instagram on your laptop.

If Instagram is down, the best way to tackle it is to wait for a few hours for the error message to be gone.

In addition, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling Instagram app.

Even if Instagram is not down, the error message will be removed.

Therefore, you just have to wait for a few hours before you try to access your account again.

Some users managed to fix the issue by changing their passwords.

However, if Instagram is down, you cannot do anything except waiting to uplift the error.

Method 1. Check if Instagram is down

First of all, you need to find out if Instagram is down.

There are two methods to check if Instagram is down.

The first method is to visit downdetector.com and check the graph there.

It will show you a huge spike if Instagram is down.

The second method to check it is to visit Twitter and search for the term “Instagram down”.

After searching for “Instagram down”, check the top and recent posts.

If there are a lot of users tweeting that Instagram is down, it indicates that it is down and you are not alone.

In addition, you can also search for the error that you are experiencing.

Method 2. Wait for a few hours

Whether Instagram is down or not, you can deal with it by waiting for a few hours.

After a few hours, the “You’ve Been Logged Out” error should be fixed.

A lot of users were thinking that their Instagram accounts is hacked but this is not true.

On the app, the error message occurs due to a bug/glitch.

The error also happens when you are doing something repeatedly.

For instance, if you’re following, commenting, or liking too much on the app, you may be kicked out and as a result, logged out.

In May 2022, Instagram was down and everyone was able to log back into their Instagram accounts after the duration of 3-4 hours.

Unfortunately, there’s nothing that you can do to get rid of the error message except wait for Instagram to fix it from their end.

Method 3. Uninstall and reinstall Instagram

The last way to deal with it is to uninstall and reinstall Instagram.

If you are getting any issues on the app, this method can be used to eradicate the issue.

Uninstalling and reinstalling Instagram will do something useful.

It clears the cache of the app and it will update the app to the latest version.

Some Instagram updates come with bug fixes.

Therefore, you need to ensure that you are on the newest version of the app.

What do you do if you get logged out of Instagram?

If you get logged out of Instagram, you should wait for a few hours before you try to login again.

In most cases, the log in issue from your Instagram account will be resolved within 24 hours.

If you’re unable to log in to Instagram, it indicates that the application is down.

Just remember that if you change your Instagram password, it will also log you out from all devices.

As a result, you need to log back in again on every device.

Final Words

If you really want to use Instagram, another working method to bypass the “You’ve Been Logged Out” error message is to use Instagram on your PC.

It is because a lot of users reported that they are able to log in on the website instead of the app.

So, you need to go to Instagram.com and log into your account on the site.

After a few hours, you can still try logging in on the app as well.

How to Fix “Your account was permanently banned” on TikTok

Last Updated on May 26, 2022 By Arsalan Rauf

Are you getting a “Your account was permanently banned” error on TikTok and want to fix it?

The full error message will be: “Your account was permanently banned due to multiple violations of your Community Guidelines”.

Followed by “You can also download your data”.

If you’re permanently banned on TikTok, it is happening because you’ve violated the Community Guidelines of TikTok several times.

Consequently, you will not be able to access your TikTok account unless you submit an appeal.

Alternatively, if your account is temporarily banned, you need to wait until it gets unban.

In this post, I will tell you why you’re banned from TikTok for no reason and how to fix “Your account was permanently banned”.

Why am I banned from TikTok?

You’re permanently banned from TikTok due to the violation of the community guidelines multiple times.

Frequent violations on the app will result in more penalties and even a permanent ban.

The violations can be dangerous acts, adult content, and violence.

The full list is available on this URL: https://www.tiktok.com/community-guidelines.

If you violated the community guidelines for the first time, a warning will be issued for you.

However, if the violation is a zero-tolerance policy, your account will be suspended automatically.

In some cases, they may block your device and you will not be able to create a new account.

If you have repeated the violations, it will result in being temporarily or permanently banned.

A temporary ban will restrict you from uploading a video, comment or edit your profile for 24 to 48 hours.

Alternatively, a permanent ban will be a permanent kick out from TikTok and you can no longer access your TikTok account.

How to Fix “Your account was permanently banned” on TikTok

To fix “Your account was permanently banned” on TikTok, you have to submit an appeal to them.

Use the “Share your feedback” form in order to submit them appeal.

The “Share your feedback” form enables you to tell TikTok about your experience on the platform.

The form can be used to inform TikTok about the problem you are having and submit an appeal.

After submitting the appeal, you need to wait for 1-3 days to get TikTok’s response.

If successful, they will send you an email that says your TikTok account has been unbanned.

If you will send an email to TikTok, you will not get response from them so do not do it.

When your account is banned or suspend, the “Share your feedback” form is the best way to contact them.

Step 1. Go to the “Share your feedback” form

First of all, you need to visit the “Share your feedback” form.

It will help you to tell TikTok about your recent experience.

This form can also be used to submit an appeal and report an issue.

Open your web browser and open the Google search engine.

After opening Google, search for the term “Share your feedback TikTok”.

Open the search result that has title: “Share your feedback | TikTok”.

On the other hand, you can visit the form directly from this URL: https://www.tiktok.com/legal/report/feedback.

Step 2. Enter your contact information

After tapping on the “Share your feedback | TikTok”, it will take you to the “Share your feedback” form.

Now, you need to provide your contact information.

First of all, put your email address in the “Email address” field.

Ensure that you enter the email address that is linked to your TikTok account.

Secondly, in the “Username (Optional)” field, you need to enter your TikTok username.

Even though it’s optional but I highly recommend that you enter it if you’re looking to appeal the decision to permanently ban your account.

For instance, if your TikTok link is “tiktok.com/@greenhatexpert”, enter “greenhatexpert”.

Thirdly, choose the “Account ban/suspension” as the topic.

The “Account ban/suspension” topic is used for the sake of banned accounts.

In the end, select the subtopic of the topic.

For instance, if your TikTok account was banned (not because of your age), choose “Banned account (not age-related)”.

Step 3. Complete and submit the form

After entering your contact information, you need to fill-up the form completely.

First of all, you have to describe the reason why you’re appealing the decision to permanently ban your TikTok account.

An example of the description can be: “Hi TikTok. My account was permanently banned by mistake. My video did not violate the community guidelines of TikTok”.

You can complete the description like this, “Please review the decision to ban my account”.

Secondly, the next thing is to confirm that the statements under “Declaration” are true before you submit it.

You can do it by ticking both of the statements to confirm that they are true.

In the end, submit the form and wait for 1-3 days to get TikTok’s response.

The waiting can last for more than a week if there are an overwhelming number of appeals in a queue.

If successful, they will send you an email stating that your TikTok account has been unbanned.

Final Words

When you upload a video on TikTok, the video will go through the check of policy violations.

If the technology detects anything, your video will be automatically removed or deleted.

In some cases, the safety team of TikTok will review the video.

When that happens, they will delete your video if it violates the community guidelines.

You can also appeal the removal and they also notify the reason to the users.

Alternatively, if the safety team of TikTok didn’t find any violation, the video will be posted to TikTok.

Having said that, if the video is reported in the future, it can still be deleted from the platform.

How to Fix “Photo mode only” on Snapchat

Last Updated on May 26, 2022 By Arsalan Rauf

Are you getting a “Photo mode only” error on Snapchat and do you want to fix it?

If yes, you won’t be able to record a video using a filter on Snapchat.

You can only use the photo if you are taking a photo of anyone else or of yourself.

This issue is very common if you’re trying to use new filters such as the crying filter.

Likewise, the problem is common if you’re an Android device user.

iPhone users do not report this error for now.

In this post, I will tell you how to fix “Photo mode only” on Snapchat and alternatives to the crying filter.

What does “Photo mode only” mean on Snapchat?

Photo mode only means that you can only use the filter on Snapchat when you take a photo.

You cannot use the filter for recording because it will not work.

The error message is usually displayed on android phones.

It can happen because of a bug/glitch on the app.

If you’re an iPhone user, you will not get the error.

In some cases, you might still get the error even if you are an iPhone user because you are using an old version.

Certain filters especially the new ones, aren’t compatible with the devices especially Android devices.

Consequently, you might not be able to use the new filters.

It will be an irritating experience as it will not let you use the trending filters.

As a result, you will lose the chance to become the trend.

How to fix “Photo mode only” on Snapchat

To fix “Photo mode only” on Snapchat, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the application.

On the other hand, you can use the “Sad face” filter on Instagram or the “Unhappy” filter of TikTok.

Although they are not exactly the same, both of these filters are closest to the filter on Snapchat.

Having said that, the original crying filter on Snapchat was developed by Snapchat and not by the user.

On the other hand, the crying filters on TikTok and Instagram are user-created.

Before you start using the filter, you should remove and reinstall the Snapchat app.

As a result, the app will be updated and the cache of the app will be cleared.

Consequently, it will fix the “Photo mode only” error on Snapchat.

The next thing you want to ensure that you’ve allowed camera access for Snapchat.

If the error is not fixed, you can try a couple of crying filter alternatives below.

#1: Use the “Unhappy” filter on TikTok

Another substitute for the crying filter on Snapchat is the unhappy filter on TikTok.

TikTok has created an unhappy filter after keeping in view the success of Snapchat’s crying filter.

The filter is almost similar to the crying filter on Snapchat.

  1. Firstly, go to TikTok and tap on the “+” icon.
  2. Tap on “Effects”.
  3. Tap on the search icon.
  4. Search for the term “Unhappy”.
  5. Tap on “Unhappy” to use the filter.
  6. Record yourself or someone else with the filter.

You can search for other alternatives by tapping on the search icon.

TikTok is also replete with filters and unhappy filter is just one of them.

If you are unable to use a filter on Snapchat due to the “Photo mode only” error, you can find the filter on TikTok.

#2: Use the “Sad face” filter on Instagram

The next alternative to the crying filter on Snapchat is the “Sad face” filter that is available on Instagram.

The sad face filter on Snapchat is created by an AR creator @biancagarutti.

The filter is also similar to the crying filter on Snapchat.

Apart from this filter, you can also use multiple other crying and sad filters on Instagram.

  1. Firstly, go to Instagram and visit your profile.
  2. Tap on your profile picture.
  3. Tap on the camera grid.
  4. Scroll to the extreme right of the effects carousel.
  5. Now, tap on “Browse effects”.
  6. Use the search icon by tapping on it.
  7. Search for the term “Sad face”.
  8. Select the “Sad face” filter.
  9. Record yourself or someone else using the filter.

There are many filters available in the effects if you don’t want to use the “Sad face” filter.

You need to use the search icon and search for the filter that you want to use.

You can also go through the first page of the effect gallery and choose a filter of your desire.

Final Words

You can use every filter on Snapchat due to device compatibility issues.

In some cases, you cannot use a filter because of a bug/glitch.

In this case, you can use similar filters available on other social media apps.

The options are TikTok’s and Instagram’s effect gallery.

There is a great chance that the filters available on Snapchat are on TikTok and Instagram too.

If everything is not working, you can try using another device like an iPhone instead of an Android device.

You can also create your own filters on Snapchat and submit on this URL: https://create.snapchat.com/.

You need to keep in mind that this option is not available for every country yet.

How to Fix Repost Option Not Showing on TikTok

Last Updated on May 20, 2022 By Arsalan Rauf

In December 2021, TikTok introduced a new repost feature.

It will enable you to repost videos on your “For You” page.

After reposting the video, it will be shown to your friends on their “For You” and “Following” pages.

In addition, your friends will also be able to see the comments if you have added to that video.

Additionally, the video you will see will be marked as “Reposted by friends”.

However, it is not available globally for now that is why everyone does not have the feature.

In this post, I will show you why you don’t have the repost option and how to fix the repost option not showing on TikTok.

Why don’t I have the repost option on TikTok?

You do not have the repost option on TikTok because it is not available for you yet.

After launching it, now in 2022, they are testing the repost feature on a small number of users.

Therefore, if you are unable to access it, it is not rolled out to you yet.

In such cases, the best way is to wait until TikTok releases the repost option worldwide for its users.

Another reason for not getting this option on the app is that you have not updated the TikTok app.

Therefore, you need to ensure that you have the latest version of the app to avail the repost option on the app.

To check the option whether you have it or not, tap on the share icon on a video on your “For You” page.

After tapping on the share icon, you will see a “Repost” option on the menu.

If you do not have it that means you’re not the part of the beta testing.

How to fix repost option not showing on TikTok

To fix the repost option not showing on TikTok, the first step is to update TikTok app.

On the other hand, you can also wait for the option to be available to you.

First of all, you need to ensure that TikTok app is updated to the latest version.

The latest version might contain the repost option in it.

Therefore, you need to update TikTok from the Google play store or the App Store.

But what if you’ve updated the latest version of TikTok and still the repost option is missing?

In this case, it means that the option is not available for you yet.

In early 2022, TikTok is testing the repost option on a small number of TikTokers.

Therefore, it is not available for everyone when it is in beta testing.

In addition, you can use a different TikTok account and check whether you get the repost option or not.

Method 1. Update TikTok

The first step is to update your TikTok app to the latest version.

The reason of not having the repost option can be your outdated version of TikTok.

Therefore, you need to update application of TikTok from the App Store or Google Play Store.

The reason behind it is that the latest update might have the repost option.

On the other hand, you can uninstall and reinstall TikTok.

This process will also help you to update the TikTok to the latest version and its cache will be cleared.

If the upgradation of the app is not working, try using another TikTok account.

The reason of using an alternative account might be part of the beta testing for the repost option.

Method 2. Wait for it to be rolled out

If your account does not have the repost option on TikTok, the ideal way is to wait for it to be rolled out to you.

In early 2022, the team made it available to a small number of users.

The reason behind this restriction is that the repost option is in beta testing.

As some users have the option so they are tweeting about the feature on Twitter.

Currently, it is difficult for me to say when the repost option will be rolled out globally because there is no update regarding it.

TikTok does not give little to no information about repost feature.

In fact, the beta testing is not doing well, TikTok might not use the option/feature.

What is the repost feature on TikTok?

The repost feature on TikTok enables you to share a video with your friends.

When you repost a video, your friends will be able to see it on their “For You” and “Following” pages.

Having said that, you can only use the feature to repost a video on your “For You” page.

From your “Following” page, you cannot repost a video.

When you repost a video on TikTok, your comments will be shown to your friends too.

Additionally, the video will be shown as “Reposted by friends”.

The video you have reposted on the app will be seen by only mutual followers.

Mutual followers mean = users who are your followers and you are also in their followers list on TikTok.

The reason of launching repost option is to engage the users with a small number of friends by sharing videos.

TikTok also gives rise to the time spent on your “For You” page because you and your friends might share the same interest.

If reposted videos are successful in this experiment, TikTok might roll out the feature to repost videos to everyone.

For now, the repost option is still in beta testing and everyone does not have the access to it.

Final Words

TikTok is constantly adding new options to increase the engagement of users.

Adding a repost option can be beneficial as well as annoying for the users.

Some users may want to know what their friends are watching on TikTok, while others do not.

In addition, some users “abuse” the repost option, and their friends will constantly come across those videos that they are reposting on their “For You” page.

Having said that, I am not aware of how frequently a reposted video will show up on your “For You” page.

For instance, if your friend reposted 5 TikTok videos, only 1 of them might be shown to you on your “For You” page.

If you are unable to access the repost option, it means it is not rolled out to you yet by TikTok.

How to Use the Crying Filter on Instagram

Last Updated on May 24, 2022 By Arsalan Rauf

The crying filter is now available on multiple social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat.

The filter is very realistic and it is also surprising for the new users.

A lot of users use it to mock their friends so that they look like they hate what they are doing.

There are various crying filters on Instagram that can be used.

However, most of filters are user-created, so you cannot access them directly on your camera.

Having said that, some people are unable to find the Instagram’s crying filter.

In this post, I will tell you how to get the crying or unhappy filter on Instagram and how to use it.

How to get the crying filter on Instagram

To get the crying filter on Instagram, your task is to add a new story and tap on “Browse effects”.

After tapping on “Browse effects”, search for “Sad face” and choose one of them.

There are a lot of crying filters on Instagram, so you need to find the one that you want to use.

The “Sad face” filter designed by @biancagarutti is one of the most realistic ones, so you can use it.

If you are unable to locate it, it means that you probably haven’t updated Instagram to the latest version.

To fix this issue, you can try removing and reinstalling Instagram.

As a result, the cache of the app will be cleared and it’ll be updated to the newest version.

Step 1. Add a new story

The first thing you need to do is add a new story.

To begin with, go to the Instagram app and go to your profile.

Firstly, ensure that you’ve been on the latest version of the app.

If not, go to the App Store or Google Play Store and update it first.

After reaching your Instagram profile, tap on your profile picture to add a new story.

On the other hand, you can tap on the “+” icon followed by “Story” to do it.

Step 2. Tap on “Browse effects”

After tapping on your profile picture, it will open your camera roll.

Open the camera instead of camera roll and Tap on the camera grid to close the camera roll.

Now, there are multiple filters at the bottom of your screen.

However, there will be no crying/sad/unhappy filter yet to see.

The reason behind it is that the Instagram crying filter is user-created.

Therefore, if you want to use the crying filter on Instagram, you need to find it.

To find it, scroll to the extreme right of the effects carousel.

You will see the icon of “Browse effects” at the extreme right of the carousel.

To use the user-created effects, you need to tap on “Browse effects”.

Step 3. Search for “Sad face”

After tapping on the “Browse effects”, it will take you to the effect gallery.

In the gallery, there are a lot of user-created effects available in a list.

Now, your task is to search for the crying filter.

On Instagram, the crying filter is known as the “Sad face”.

Tap on the search icon on the top right of the gallery and search for the term “Sad face” to locate the crying filter.

In the end, select the “Sad face” filter by @biancagarutti to start using it.

The same user has also created another crying/sad filter, but the “Sad face” filter is one of the more realistic filters.

If you are unable to locate the filter, you need to search for @biancagarutti username on Instagram and go to her profile.

After reaching her profile, tap on the glitter icon and tap on “Sad face” in order to use the filter.

How to use the crying filter on Instagram

  1. Open your Instagram profile and tap on your profile picture.
  2. To open your camera, tap on the camera grid.
  3. Scroll to the extreme right of the effects carousel and tap on “Browse effects”.
  4. Now, search for “Sad face”.
  5. Choose the “Sad face” effect by @biancagarutti.
  6. Record yourself or someone else’s face with the help of the filter.

Final Words

It is an ideal way to get more views on your Instagram videos by using the trending filters.

In May 2022, the crying filter has been used by all social media apps.

If you’re unable to locate or use the “Sad face” filter on Instagram, you can try using Snapchat or TikTok filter instead.

TikTok and Snapchat have made their own type of crying filters.

The TikTok crying filter is known as “Unhappy” while the one from Snapchat is known as “Crying”.

The original social media platform for the crying filter is Snapchat.

How to Fix Instagram Avatar Sticker Not Showing

Last Updated on May 24, 2022 By Arsalan Rauf

Is the Instagram avatar sticker not showing or working for you and do you want to fix it?

In February 2022, Instagram released the avatar sticker/option.

According to the head of Instagram (Adam Mosseri), 3D avatars will be the future of personal identity in the metaverse.

The sticker can be used when adding a story, tapping on the sticker icon and tapping on “Avatar”.

After tapping on the “Avatar”, the next thing is to follow the on-screen instructions to create your own avatar.

The instructions will be related to selecting your skin tone, eye color, hair, outfit, and so on.

However, everyone does not have the ability to use the avatar feature on Instagram.

In this post, I will tell you why is the Instagram avatar sticker not showing or working and how to fix it.

Why is the Instagram avatar sticker not showing?

The Instagram avatar sticker is not showing because the feature is not available in every country yet.

According to Instagram Head, the avatar sticker/option is only available in certain countries such as United States, Canada, and Mexico as of February 2022.

He also added that the avatar option will be rolled out to more regions globally in the coming months.

If you’re not located in the United States, Canada, or Mexico, the best bet is to wait until the avatar feature is available in your country.

This option will be made available within a few weeks or months depending on when Instagram decides to launch the feature for your country.

You need to remember that stickers might not be available for some countries in Europe.

Therefore, even if the avatar feature is available globally, you still might not get it if you’re located in Europe.

How to fix the Instagram avatar sticker not showing

To fix the Instagram avatar sticker not showing, you need to reinstall or update the Instagram app.

On the other hand, you can wait until the sticker/option is rolled out in your country.

Reinstalling the Instagram app will also update it to the newest version.

The newest version of Instagram might have the avatar sticker option in it.

Therefore, you need to ensure that your Instagram app is up to date to the latest version.

The cache of the app will also be removed by uninstalling and reinstalling Instagram.

The process of clearing the cache of the app will fix certain glitches.

Method 1. Uninstall and reinstall Instagram

To get started, you should uninstall and reinstall Instagram.

You can access the avatar feature if you are on the latest version of Instagram.

Tap and hold the Instagram app and remove the app to uninstall it.

After uninstalling Instagram, open the App Store or Google Play Store and search for the term “Instagram”.

Tap on “Install” to reinstall the app on your device, open it, and log in to your account.

After logging in to your account, check if the avatar sticker is available.

You can check this by adding a story and tapping on the icon of the sticker.

Reinstalling the Instagram app will update the app to its newest version.

It will fix the glitches as well as clear the app’s cache.

Method 2. Wait until it’s available in your country

After uninstalling and reinstalling app, if the avatar sticker is still not showing, it is happening because it’s not available in your country yet.

In this case, you have to be patient and wait until it’s rolled out in your country.

In February 2022, Adam Mosseri said that the avatar feature is only available in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

If you’re not a resident of either one of those countries, there’s a high chance that you do not have the avatar sticker/option.

He also added that the avatar feature will be launched in more regions in the future months.

Therefore, your best shot is to wait until the avatar option is available in your country.

The process can take weeks to months depending on the decision of Instagram when to make it available globally.

Currently, the option is still in beta testing, so they do not launch it globally.

There is another point to note some countries in Europe cannot use Instagram stickers.

If you’re in Europe, you will not be able to use the avatar sticker due to the restrictions of your country.

Final Words

Instagram is releasing new stickers with consistency.

Avatar sticker is one of the new stickers on Instagram.

Unfortunately, everyone does not have it because it’s not available in every country yet.

It is in the beta testing phase like other new features on Instagram.

The feature will be available in more countries after completing the testing phase.

The avatar sticker will be launched globally if the beta testing phase is successful.

This option is also similar to other features so it has to go through a beta testing phase before it is released to all countries.
