Ghost Trails is another feature of Snapchat Plus/Snapchat+.

Ghost Trails lets you see your friends’ movement from one location to another.

You can use the Snap Map to see their Ghost Trails.

However, their location should be shared with you and have the latest version of the app.

In this post, I will tell you what are Ghost Trails on Snapchat Plus, how to see them, and how to turn them on.

What are Ghost Trails on Snapchat Plus?

Ghost Trails on Snapchat Plus helps you to view your friends’ movements from one place to another in the last 24 hours.

Additionally, they should be using the latest version of the app and Snapchat+ needs to be present in their country.

Just remember that location-sharing on the Snap Map is selected for all users.

To see your friend’s Ghost Trail, you have to use the Snap Map and tap on their Bitmoji.

If you tap on a badge, you will see how close you are to them with the help of their solar system.

The arranging order is this: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.

To see your solar system or someone else’s, the first thing you need to do is to subscribe to Snapchat+.

In this post, I will tell you what is the Snapchat Plus Solar System and the Friendmoji of different planets.

Friends indicate = You’re one of your friend’s eight closest friends, but they’re not one of yours.

If you tap on the badge, it will show you which planet you are in their Solar System.

Each planet stands for a different position in its Best Friends list.

For example, if you’re Earth and your friend is the Sun, it shows that you’re their third closest friend.

Snapchat Plus Friend Solar System Friendmoji

The Friend Solar System Friendmojis are set in order according to the Solar System.

The planets are arranged in this manner: Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars respectively.

The planets are set in order like so: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune respectively.

As you can see, the planets are arranged in proper order as per the solar system on the position of the sun.

The system begins from the planet that is nearest to the Sun and ends from the planet that is farthest from the Sun.

The Rewatch Indicator is one of those features that come with the subscription.

The Rewatch Indicator on Snapchat Plus will allow you to see who rewatched your story.

Why is Snapchat Plus Not Showing?

Last Updated on April 15, 2023 By Arsalan Rauf

Is Snapchat Plus not showing, not working, or missing on the app and do you want to fix it?

If yes, you are in the right place.

In June 2022, the feature was launched by Snapchat but a lot of users are unable to subscribe to it.

You can find it by going to your profile and there you will see a “Snapchat+” banner card.

However, the banner card is missing or not showing to a lot of people.

Even if you’ve closed all the other banner cards, it’s still not available anywhere.

In this post, I will tell you why is Snapchat Plus not showing up on the app and how to fix it.

Why is Snapchat Plus not showing?

Snapchat Plus (or Snapchat+) is not showing due to unavailability in your country.

The feature was introduced on 29 June 2022, but it’s only available in some countries.

The countries include—the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

If your country is not available on the list, it means that it’s not available to you yet.

In this case, you need to wait until Snapchat is rolled out in your country.

According to Snapchat, they will launch it in more countries with the passage of time.

How to fix Snapchat Plus not showing

To fix Snapchat Plus not showing, your best bet is to wait until it’s released in your country.

Currently, Snapchat Plus is only released in 9 countries including the US, Canada, and the UK.

This premium feature is not available in countries like Singapore, Africa, Brazil, New Zealand, and others.

Snapchat mentioned that it will slowly launch Snapchat+ in other regions.

It looks like they are trying to test the new subscription in some countries before they introduce it globally.

A user on Twitter named as “Conner” asked Snapchat when they will receive the option.

However, Snapchat did not answer his tweet.

Therefore, I do not know exactly when Snapchat+ will be rolled out to other countries.

For now, only you can wait for further announcements.

If Snapchat Plus is launched in your country but it’s not showing for you, you should check if there is an update for Snapchat and update Snapchat to the latest version on the App Store or Google Play Store.

In addition, you need to ensure that you have dismissed all other banners in your profile to see the “Snapchat+” banner card.

According to Snapchat, there are over 332 million users on the app that use it daily.

They are proud of creating new features for their community—testing out options in different ways.

In June 2022, Snapchat launched Snapchat Plus (or Snapchat+) for $3.99 per month.

It is replete with special, experimental, and pre-release features.

The feature can be used in selected countries but will be expanded to more countries after some time.

In this post, I will tell you what is Snapchat Plus and how to get it if it’s available in your country.

What is Snapchat Plus?

Snapchat Plus is a paid version of Snapchat that helps you to unlock new features for $3.99 per month.

These options will help you to customize your Snapchat experience.

Additionally, you can access cool features before anyone else.

The current features you will be able to get are Ghost Trails, Best Friends Forever, Story rewatch indicator, Custom app icons, Snapchat+ badge, and Friend Solar System.

Snapchat is constantly trying to add new features to the app to make it more fun for its users, so in the future, more features will be available to the subscription.

How to get Snapchat Plus

  1. Firstly, update your Snapchat to the latest version.
  2. Visit your profile.
  3. Tap on the “Snapchat+” banner card available at the top.
  4. Choose a subscription and get your 7-day free trial.

Snapchat Plus is not necessary for anyone, so you don’t have to subscribe to it if you don’t want to.

If the subscription is not shown to you, it means that it’s not available in your country yet.

In this case, you have to wait until it’s rolled out to your region.

The available countries for Snapchat plus are the USA, Canada, the UK, and more.

If you’re living in a country where Snapchat Plus is available but you are still unable to see the banner card, you have to close the other banner cards in your profile first.

How to Fix “Photo mode only” on Snapchat

Last Updated on May 26, 2022 By Arsalan Rauf

Are you getting a “Photo mode only” error on Snapchat and do you want to fix it?

If yes, you won’t be able to record a video using a filter on Snapchat.

You can only use the photo if you are taking a photo of anyone else or of yourself.

This issue is very common if you’re trying to use new filters such as the crying filter.

Likewise, the problem is common if you’re an Android device user.

iPhone users do not report this error for now.

In this post, I will tell you how to fix “Photo mode only” on Snapchat and alternatives to the crying filter.

What does “Photo mode only” mean on Snapchat?

Photo mode only means that you can only use the filter on Snapchat when you take a photo.

You cannot use the filter for recording because it will not work.

The error message is usually displayed on android phones.

It can happen because of a bug/glitch on the app.

If you’re an iPhone user, you will not get the error.

In some cases, you might still get the error even if you are an iPhone user because you are using an old version.

Certain filters especially the new ones, aren’t compatible with the devices especially Android devices.

Consequently, you might not be able to use the new filters.

It will be an irritating experience as it will not let you use the trending filters.

As a result, you will lose the chance to become the trend.

How to fix “Photo mode only” on Snapchat

To fix “Photo mode only” on Snapchat, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the application.

On the other hand, you can use the “Sad face” filter on Instagram or the “Unhappy” filter of TikTok.

Although they are not exactly the same, both of these filters are closest to the filter on Snapchat.

Having said that, the original crying filter on Snapchat was developed by Snapchat and not by the user.

On the other hand, the crying filters on TikTok and Instagram are user-created.

Before you start using the filter, you should remove and reinstall the Snapchat app.

As a result, the app will be updated and the cache of the app will be cleared.

Consequently, it will fix the “Photo mode only” error on Snapchat.

The next thing you want to ensure that you’ve allowed camera access for Snapchat.

If the error is not fixed, you can try a couple of crying filter alternatives below.

#1: Use the “Unhappy” filter on TikTok

Another substitute for the crying filter on Snapchat is the unhappy filter on TikTok.

TikTok has created an unhappy filter after keeping in view the success of Snapchat’s crying filter.

The filter is almost similar to the crying filter on Snapchat.

  1. Firstly, go to TikTok and tap on the “+” icon.
  2. Tap on “Effects”.
  3. Tap on the search icon.
  4. Search for the term “Unhappy”.
  5. Tap on “Unhappy” to use the filter.
  6. Record yourself or someone else with the filter.

You can search for other alternatives by tapping on the search icon.

TikTok is also replete with filters and unhappy filter is just one of them.

If you are unable to use a filter on Snapchat due to the “Photo mode only” error, you can find the filter on TikTok.

#2: Use the “Sad face” filter on Instagram

The next alternative to the crying filter on Snapchat is the “Sad face” filter that is available on Instagram.

The sad face filter on Snapchat is created by an AR creator @biancagarutti.

The filter is also similar to the crying filter on Snapchat.

Apart from this filter, you can also use multiple other crying and sad filters on Instagram.

  1. Firstly, go to Instagram and visit your profile.
  2. Tap on your profile picture.
  3. Tap on the camera grid.
  4. Scroll to the extreme right of the effects carousel.
  5. Now, tap on “Browse effects”.
  6. Use the search icon by tapping on it.
  7. Search for the term “Sad face”.
  8. Select the “Sad face” filter.
  9. Record yourself or someone else using the filter.

There are many filters available in the effects if you don’t want to use the “Sad face” filter.

You need to use the search icon and search for the filter that you want to use.

You can also go through the first page of the effect gallery and choose a filter of your desire.

Final Words

You can use every filter on Snapchat due to device compatibility issues.

In some cases, you cannot use a filter because of a bug/glitch.

In this case, you can use similar filters available on other social media apps.

The options are TikTok’s and Instagram’s effect gallery.

There is a great chance that the filters available on Snapchat are on TikTok and Instagram too.

If everything is not working, you can try using another device like an iPhone instead of an Android device.

You can also create your own filters on Snapchat and submit on this URL: https://create.snapchat.com/.

You need to keep in mind that this option is not available for every country yet.
