How to Fix KB5016691 Update Not Installing on Windows 11

Is the KB5016691 update not working, installed, or downloaded on Windows 11?

On 25th August 2022, Windows released the update on (OS Build 22000.918).

The update was meant to fix multiple issues and made quality improvements.

The update contains fix for the issue related to USB printing and an issue that prevents Windows 11 SE from trusting some Microsoft Store applications.

In addition, it also resolved the bug that caused Edge to stop responding when you use IE mode.

In this post, I will guide you on how to fix the installation/download issue for the KB5016691 update on Windows 11.

Solution 1: Run the Update Troubleshooter

  1. Go to the Windows start menu > Settings.
  2. System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
  3. Windows Update > Run > Restart your PC.

Solution 2: Restart Windows Update and background intelligent transfer service

  • Windows search > Services.
  • Windows update > Startup type > Automatic > Apply > OK.
  • Select “Restart the service” for “Windows Update”.
  • Background intelligent transfer service > Startup type > Automatic > Apply > OK.
  • Select “Restart the service” for “Background intelligent transfer service”.
  • Restart your PC.

Solution 3: Use Windows 11 Installation Assistant

  1. Visit this link https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11.
  2. Click on “Download Now”.
  3. Lastly, Run the .exe file > Accept and install.

Solution 4: Use Microsoft Update Catalog

  1. Visit this link https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Home.aspx.
  2. Search for “KB5016691”.
  3. Download the Windows 11 KB5016691 update.
  4. Reboot or restart your PC.

Solution 5: Reset Windows Update components

Save the file as “Wufix.bat” > set the location as desktop > All Files > Save.

Run the file as an administrator to restart all the Windows update services and reboot your computer.

Solution 6: Use the Media Creation Tool

  1. Visit this link https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11.
  2. Click on “Download Now”.
  3. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  4. Go to the downloaded file.
  5. Run the setup file.
  6. Follow the instructions given on the screen and complete the installation process.

After doing so, it will then go up and the dendrogranum will show up (the stone is a little bigger than Kazuha Xianglin ITP).

In the end, shoot the 3 dendro rocks and follow the path in order to unlock the teleport waypoint.
