How to Fix Switch to YouTube.com

To fix “Switch to YouTube.com”, you can either update the app or clearing YouTube’s cache.

You can also try a 3rd party website to download an older version of YouTube or update your device.

Solution 1: Clear YouTube’s cache

  1. Go to the Settings app and tap on “Apps”.
  2. Tap on “Manage apps” and find “YouTube”.
  3. Then, select “YouTube” and tap on “Storage”.
  4. Tap on “Clear data” and “Clear cache” to remove cache and data.
  5. Go to the YouTube app to see if the problem is resolved.

Solution 2: Update YouTube

  1. Go to the Google Play Store and search for “YouTube” app.
  2. Select “YouTube” and tap on “Update” if there is any update available.
  3. Go to the YouTube app to see if the issue is resolved.

Solution 3: Update your device

  1. Go to the Settings app and scroll down.
  2. Choose “Software update”.
  3. If available, tap on “Download and install”.
  4. Go to the YouTube app to see if the problem is resolved.

Note: The minimum requirement of YouTube app for Android phones and tablets is at least version 7.0 or above to work.

Solution 4: Download an older version of YouTube

  1. Remove the latest YouTube app from your device.
  2. Copy and paste this link into your browser and press Enter: youtube.en.uptodown.com/android/versions.
  3. Select an older version of YouTube and tap on “Download” to download it.
  4. Go to the YouTube app that you’ve just downloaded to find out if the error is fixed.
