How to fix Local Security Authority Protection is off on Windows 

To fix Local Security Authority Protection is off on Windows, the first thing is to start repairing and resetting Windows Security.

Apart from that, you can change the the RunAsPPL Values to “2” in “regedit”.

Solution 1: Repair and reset Windows Security

  1. Use the windows search to search for “Windows Security”.
  2. Right-click on “Windows Security” and click on “App Settings”.
  3. After that, click on the “Repair” button.
  4. Lastly, click on the “Reset” button.

Solution 2: Change RunAsPPL Values

Please follow this step by step instructions:

  1. Use the windows search to search for “regedit” and open it.
  2. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet > Control > Lsa.
  3. Now, double-click “RunAsPPL” and change the “Value data” to “2”.
  4. Right-click an empty area > New > DWORD (32-bit value).
  5. Then, rename the new file as “RunAsPPLBoot”.
  6. Now, double-click “RunAsPPL” and change the “Value data” to “2”.
  7. Reboot your computer and it will be fixed!

If the error message is still there, you have to change the value data of “RunAsPPL” and “RunAsPPL” to 1.

On the other hand, you can uninstall the latest Windows update to fix it.
