An Osu beatmap (also called map or song) is a set of game levels that has hit objects and represents a single song.
Additionally, it has other components that are available in an archive with the .osz extension.
It contains the song (in an MP3 or Ogg format), background images, and custom hit sounds for arrangement.
A storyboard with special effects and motion graphics and custom skin that affects the appearance of the game are also included.
If you want to disable some of the aural and visual features of a beatmap, it can be done by visiting the visual settings overlay.
Osu contains a public beatmap listing that allows you to download beatmaps made by other users.
After downloading a beatmap from the listing, you need to double-click it to import it to Osu.
